The South African songstress, fondly known as the Princess of Africa, has been billed to headline the eighth edition of the Windhoek Jazz Festival which will be held at the Independence Stadium (Namibia) on the 2nd of November, 2019.

Mam' Yvonne, who is a recipient of the BET’s International Global Good Power Award (2017), will be joined by talented South African artists Vusi Nova and Garth Taylor for what promises to be a beautiful Southern African musical affair.

The humanitarian activist and teacher, famously known for classics such as I'm In Love With A DJ, Umqombothi, last released music with her 2107 offering, 'Keep Looking at Me'.

According to Music In Africa, Namibia's local music scene will be represented by Allistaire and the Swingers Jazz Band, Rose Black, FuJazz Band, William Petersen, Sean K, Dan Shout Quartet and The Ugly Creatures, among others.

The Councillor, Teckla Uwanga, had this to say:

“I believe that there are few places in the world where you are welcomed in so many diverse ways than in Windhoek. What better place is there to host a jazz festival with the genre often appreciated as an age-old expression of cultural diversity.
