Nike released a short directed by Nigerian filmmaker Amarachi Nwosu called "Game for All".
The 1:47 long film is a vignette that celebrates the role women have played and continue to play in soccer and the development of the 'beautiful game'. The politic under-girding the creation of the film is a recognition of women's struggle to make the game inclusive for all.
The short was shot in Lagos and Amarachi had this to say: "So glad I was able to represent Nigeria and be apart of pushing the narrative of women's soccer globally and the power of making the game inclusive for all."
As in South Africa, women across the continent continue to struggle for equal pay with their male counterparts and this film is a fitting tribute to those struggles.
