The African American artist, poet and musician Moor Mother announced the release of her upcoming album Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes set to be released this November the 8th through Don Giovanni Records. It is a follow up to the Afrofuturist's debut project Fetish Bones which came out in 2016.
The Philadelphia-based poet, real name Camae Ayewa, dropped her first single, “After Images”, produced by Justin Broadrick of Godflesh. The song also boasts of an appearance by Reef the Lost Cauze and poet Saul Williams.
Don Giovanni Records had this to say about the record:
“[H]aunting slave narratives are presented as dystopian allegory and negro spirituals are flipped, remixed, and recaptured, only to be digitized into a symbiotic bio-morph program for the post-thumb drive age”.
The album is available for pre-order on Don Giovanni website and comes with a poetry book.
